MEMEMEME Exhibition
The Crypt Gallery
St Pancras Parish Church, Euston Road, NW1 2BA London
16 & 17 January 2017
Private view 16 January 2017, 7PM
MEMEMEME is an art exhibition examining the digital body, held in the burial site of a crypt. Artists are invited to activate the historical space with a contemporary artistic response. Through this exhibition, we aim to re-examine the historical purpose of the crypt, and current notions of the body in the digital world.
MEMEMEME explores the relationship between bodily experience and our daily cyber/digital space; though social media, gaming, virtual reality, and digital devices. We wish to investigate how the virtual world shapes us - its physicality, psychosomatics, texture, intimacy, geographies, identities, immaterialities, science and all other possible associations.
