SURVOLS Exhibition at CAUE Gallery
Part of my photographic work "Groundlessness" is currently presented at the Caue Hauts de Seine Gallery (Conseil d'Architecture, d'Urbanisme et d'Environnement des Hauts-de-Seine).
The exhibition "SURVOLS" retraces the evolution of techniques and uses of aerial photography, from the first visual material provided by the pioneer of aerial photography Gaspard-Félix Tournachon (aka Nadar), to the satellite images and democratization of geospatial intelligence by Google Earth.
The show develops in two parts. The first is based on a rich body of archival documents that traces the history and principles of aerial photography. The second part presents a selection of contemporary works by 15 photographers, that explores the virtues and disadvantages of contemporary aerial photography.
