GROUNDLESSNESS

DRONE PHOTOGRAPHY

2017 (ongoing)

Groundlessness is a project that was initiated alongside the video works "Wěndìng Fánróng" and "In Tandem" (currently under post-production), that were created in 2017, while in residence in Hong Kong and Taipei. It is an ongoing work and will be further developed in Kuala Lumpur (summer 2018).

The main goal was to go beyond the traditional modes of seeing, experiencing and interpreting the City. With the use of a drone, perspectives are twisted and multiplied, while new types of visuality arise, through a disembodied and remote-controlled gaze.*

Photos of this series have been commended by the Sony World Photography Awards 2018 jury, in the category of Architecture and will be part of the Sony World Photography Awards Exhibition 2018 at the Somerset House, London, UK.
